Sustainable charcoal

We use Ecologs made from grape seed when we braai .We are now using the Ceramic Eggs to prepare food and they only work with charcoal.We are currently using Namchar charcoal from Namibia they are supposed to make this out of alien harvested wood in Namibia but there is very little detail on their website.Do you know of a more sustainable charcoal option?

I have often wondered this as well! We also take the view that alien invasive trees make for good braai wood, but when purchasing charcoal I guess things are not as transparent…
