Looking for FSC certified roof trusses?

Hello.

Has anyone had experience sourcing FSC certified roof trusses? I can’t seems to find anyone that supplies it?

Hey Devan

We recently went through the exercise of trying to source FSC certified roof trusses and found the following:

  • Until recently, there appeared to be no roof truss manufacturers in SA with FSC Chain of Custody (CoC) certification. Penny Pinchers in PE however has just achieved their FSC CoC for roof trusses. To my knowledge they are the only ones. Contact Freddie Greef fgreeff@pennypinchers.co.za.
  • Note that many of our roof truss suppliers do use FSC timber (from FSC certified saw mills), but the Chain of Custody is then broken as the truss manufacturer does not hold a CoC certificate.
